Cardio Time

self-care: exerciseDay Twenty-three’s Challenge:
Cardio Workout!

We’ve already had walking as a daily challenge, but today we’re going to go a step (get it?) further. You need to do some cardio at least three times a week for at least 20 minutes at a time. What does cardio mean exactly? Any exercise that heart rate up and the lungs working a little harder (which won’t be a huge effort because you’ve been doing your breathing exercises every day, right?!). Fast walking, jogging, biking, swimming, or other aerobic exercise fit the bill for a cardio workout.

The benefits are more than just burning some extra calories:
– Reduce risk of heart disease
– Improved muscle mass
– Boost productivity
– Preserve and improve memory
– Increase energy level

So what are you going to do to reach your cardio goal each week?
