Believe in Yourself

Believe in Yourself for SuccessDay One’s Challenge:
Look in the mirror, smile, and say out loud: “I believe in myself.”

I Believe in Myself

Sounds easy, right? I thought so too, until I went to do it. It was hard to look myself directly in the eye. It felt really awkward – and there was no one around to see or hear me doing this. Give it a try.  Are you looking yourself in the eye? And smiling? And really happy to see the person looking back at you? If you also find this to be more difficult than you thought, don’t worry, it gets easier, because this is something that you are to do every day of the challenge. And I’d encourage you to do it every day forever. If this were the only thing you did during the 30 Day Challenge, and you did it every day, you would see a remarkable transformation. This is the start of a ripple effect that will change your life.

Powerful Words

If, for whatever reason, you just can’t look at yourself in the eye – don’t give up. It’s okay. Close your eyes and say aloud or to yourself, “I believe in myself.” Repeat that to yourself throughout the day. Write it on a piece of paper and tape it to the bathroom mirror, your computer monitor at work, the refrigerator, wherever you need to so that you see it a few times a day. And every time you see that note, say those words. I guarantee that in a few days time you’ll be able to say them out loud when you’re looking at yourself in the eye in the mirror. These are powerful words, and being able to see yourself saying them empowers you.

No Excuses!

This exercise takes all of ten seconds. No excuses! No mirror handy? Use the camera on your smart phone, the rear view mirror in the car, a reflection off an office window. No excuses! I believe in you and you should believe in you too.
